We started with a great idea and tons of enthusiasm.

An innovative and revolutionary piece of equipment that will immediately impact your salon’s bottom line, the Color Tracking System solves the age-old issue of how to control color costs. By moving the focus from tracking color to tracking developer, CTS will always give your colorists an exact amount of developer, tell you how much developer is being used, who is using the developer and the time of day it’s being used. When a salon owner can track the quantity of color being used on each client, the control of color costs will follow. In addition to dispensing an exact amount of developer, CTS includes software that requires colorists to input their specific PIN number. A detailed report will then tell the salon owner how much developer is being used and if clients are being undercharged. By reviewing your report, the salon owner will immediately begin to address incorrect use of developer.

Chris Damolaris

The inventor and driving force behind the Color Tracking System, Chris Damolaris started in the beauty industry when he was 23 years old. While attending beauty school, his first job was with the Brian Michael Salons where he launched his career by sweeping, shampooing clients and assisting senior stylists. Once he graduated, he began mentoring with Brian Michael McGrath. Chris assisted Brian for a year and a half, at which point he earned his own chair.

Three years later, in 1993, an opportunity arose for Chris to buy the Brian Michael Company. At the time there was one Brian Michael salon in Wheaton with 25 employees. By 2002, Chris had opened two additional salons in Naperville with more than 100 employees.

Chris has always conducted business in a professional manner with respect for other salon owners. After 23 years in the business, Chris is the owner of the Frank Gironda Salons and Day Spas, one of the western suburb’s largest salon and spa chains.

Frank Gironda

With more than 45 years in the salon and spa industry, Frank Gironda has established himself as an innovative and forward-looking entrepreneur, opening his first salon in Chicago when he was only 17 years old. In 1976, he founded the Frank Gironda Salon & Day Spas in Naperville and Wheaton, Ill. While bringing his unique style, education programs and partnership approach to the suburbs, he was invited by David Raccuglia to join him as one of the founding partners of American Crew, which they ultimately sold to Revlon.

In 2004, Frank approached fellow salon and spa owner Chris Damolaris with an opportunity to purchase the three Frank Gironda Salon & Day Spas. In July 2005, Chris acquired the company and merged his Brian Michael employees into the Frank Gironda locations. Over the years, Frank has acted as a consultant to many successful salons.

Frank has been a member of Intercoiffure since 1994, a member of the Cosmetologist Chicago Association since 1963, on the Board of Directors for Cosmetologist Chicago for 18 years. He also is the current President of Cosmetologist Chicago, which owns and runs America’s Beauty Show (formerly Chicago Midwest Beauty Show).
